Nothing beats that summer heat than a cool ocean breeze, a large collection of good family and friends, and one of New England's treasures: Provincetown. I have spent the past week with my boyfriend's family in a Cape Cod beach house (14 people under one roof!), and have been having a ball. Although everything along the Cape is photogenic, fun, beautiful, and relaxing, I have never experienced anything like Provincetown. I have done a lot of traveling in my day and I could compare this wonderful little city to someplace else but nothing would do it justice--it is just so unique. A day trip was not long enough to experience its greatness but that only means I will have to come back again soon.
From my trip I would love to recommend: The Canteen for a sandwich (their backyard seating area is just quaint as could be), Happy Camper for ice cream and a delicious iced coffee (they have Stumptown coffee AND maple bacon ice-cream...like wut). And please do not miss the houses surrounding the main strip. Next time I will be sure to bring my bike to ride all the way down to the end of the Cape--the view cannot be beat.
As the week comes to an end, I am happy, relaxed, and ready for my next adventure.
